| The Apostle Paul’s ministry was marked by his perseverance and by his apostolic authority. His apostolic authority was confirmed with signs wonders and mighty deeds. As professing Christians living in the last days we are being compelled to contend that demonstrations of the Holy Spirit be given room to play a significant role in us and through us, especially as we take the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ outside the walls of the church and into the streets. | |||

| We are living in an era where intellect is praised but demonstrations of the Spirit and His Power are unsought, ridiculed, avoided, or completely rejected. In this message Pastor Vic shares how the Lord is mandating that an Apostolic Priority be placed back in the church. In other words, as Christians and as leaders in our cities, we should contend for and expect demonstrations of the Spirit to validate the message of the Gospel we preach. …Mark 16:20…they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the Word through the accompanying signs. | The Holy Spirit has been sent to help us; to give us additional strength; to assist us in our ministry assignments. In other words we don’t have to work so hard; we don’t have to carry the load all by ourselves. We have a HELPER, the Spirit of Truth living IN US. It is the Holy Spirit who performs the works of Christ through us. This is what He has been sent to do; to help us; to come along side us; to work together with us; to confirm our message by performing miraculous signs and wonders through our hands at the preaching of His Word. | When Jesus came down to this earth the first time; He proposed to us, the Church. We are engaged to be married; the wedding has not yet taken place. The wedding will take place when Jesus returns the second time. Rather than giving us an engagement ring, Jesus has given us His Holy Spirit as a promise of His commitment to us. You are not alone; The Lord has given you another helper; His Holy Spirit, who not only dwells with you, but will be in you. Not only as the Spirit of Life, but as the Spirit of Power and Might. | |||

| Why the Limp? – Why didn’t God heal Jacob after Jacob prevailed in prayer? God wanted Jacob to continue leaning completely on Him. When we are walking with a limp we lean the hardest on the Lord. Sometimes God will allow pain to remain in our lives for a season; it’s not because He is uncompassionate or uncaring; Often times it is when we have pain in our lives that we are the most dependent on God. God wants us to lean completely on Him. He wants us to put all of our weight on Him; to trust Him fully. He wants us to hang on to Him as if our Life depends on it – IT DOES. It is in limping that we remain close to Him all the days of our life. | |||

| Nothing gives God greater pleasure than to see His people holding on to His promises for dear life. This is what Jacob did. Although he was pinned to the ground with a dislocated hip, weeping in pain; he did not give up. He prayed with persistence. He said? ?Lord, I?m not going to let You go unless you bless me.? The Lord likes it when we wrestle things through with Him in prayer; for it is in wrestling with God where intimacy with Him is developed. | |||
